FAQs

Mahra comes in Mini, Classic and XXL. Mini suits half-up styles and fine or shorter hair. Classic is the everyday size for medium-thickness hair. XXL is for thick or long hair and oversized buns. Because velvet grips more firmly than silk, you can often size down from what you would choose in silk.

Hand wash in cool water only. Never machine wash - the agitation flattens the pile permanently and it will not recover. Dry it flat, then brush the pile gently with your fingers once it is dry to lift it back up.

Yes - velvet has the strongest grip of anything we make, and it is the fabric we recommend when silk slides out by lunchtime. The dense pile catches gently against the hair, so it holds through surface texture rather than tension. That means it stays put without the tight pull that causes breakage at the root.
